No. PumpForge runs in a web browser. Nothing to install, no servers to configure, no firewall rules to change. Your instructors can be training operators within an hour of signing up.
Any laptop, desktop, or tablet with a modern web browser. Training and simulation require a screen large enough to operate the pump panel — phones are too small for that, but the public site works on any device.
Yes. PumpForge uses industry-standard hydraulic principles aligned with NFPA and NFA curriculum. The simulation produces consistent, repeatable results — identical inputs always produce identical outputs.
PumpForge does not certify operators to NFPA 1002. Its 16 built-in scenarios (12 NFA evolutions + 4 NFPA JPR) give practice on the pump-panel side of NFPA 1002 Chapter 5 (2017 edition, 5.2.4 to 5.2.7: hand and master streams, relay pumping, foam, and sprinkler and standpipe supply), and the 7 NFPA 1410 engine-company evolutions come as an optional scenario pack and as courses in the eLearning add-on. On the Complete plan, its NFPA 1002 checklist counts a skill only when an instructor or department admin records watching it done on a real pumper. Every attempt is documented with scored results, and the certificate PumpForge awards is a PumpForge training record, not a state or NFPA certification.
