Everything Your Training Division Actually Needs

Every feature maps to a real training requirement. If it doesn't help your operators pass their pump test or make your instructors' jobs easier, it's not in the platform.

22 Built-in Scenarios — Ready to Assign Today

The same pump-operations skill set your operators train to under NFPA 1002/1010. 12 NFA evolutions + 3 NFPA 1002 JPR scenarios + the 7 NFPA 1410 engine-company evolutions, new for 2026. Pre-built, auto-scored, no setup required.

Education

22 eLearning Courses — Classroom Before the Panel

Pump theory, friction loss calculations, NFPA standards, and apparatus operations. Each course includes module content, quizzes, and completion tracking integrated with the training log.

Structured Curriculum

Courses organized into modules with progressive content. Trainees work through pump theory, friction loss, NFPA 1002 requirements, and apparatus operations at their own pace.

22 courses · Multi-module · Self-paced

Built-in Quizzes

Each module includes knowledge checks. Quizzes are scored automatically and results feed into the trainee's progress record. Instructors see who passed and who needs review.

Auto-scored · Per-module · Instructor visibility

Training Hours Log

Every course completion and simulation attempt is logged with hours. The training log produces audit-ready documentation for state reporting, ISO audits, and compliance.

Automatic logging · Exportable · Audit-ready

Assign & Track

Instructors assign courses alongside simulation evolutions. The trainee dashboard shows both in one queue. Completion status, quiz scores, and time spent are visible to all.

Simulation Engine

Real Hydraulics — Not Arcade Physics

PumpForge models real hydraulic behavior so operators build correct intuition. Same inputs always produce the same outputs. NFPA and NFA-aligned equations. Operators who pass here can pump on the fireground.

How the engine works →

20 Updates per Second

Simulation recalculates 20 times per second with deterministic physics.

Failure Modes

Cavitation, hose burst, pump overheat, and tank depletion.

Pump Curves

Realistic flow vs. pressure behavior within rated capacity.

Gauge Response

Natural lag and stabilization — no instant pressure jumps.

Accountability

Reports & Certification — Audit-Ready from Day One

PumpForge documents every control input, gauge reading, and safety event automatically. Your training records survive any audit — no paperwork, no manual data entry.

Common Questions

How the Platform Works

The questions training officers ask most when they first walk through PumpForge.

How many training scenarios come built in?
22 scenarios ship ready to assign — 12 National Fire Academy evolutions, 3 NFPA 1002 job-performance scenarios, and the 7 NFPA 1410 engine-company evolutions added in 2026. Instructors can assign any of them to an operator or crew on day one.
Can I build my own scenarios?
Yes. The Scenario Builder lets you define the water supply, hose lays, nozzles, elevation, and apparatus your department actually runs, so operators train on the evolutions they'll face in your first-due area.
How many apparatus panel layouts are included?
24 pump-panel layouts modeled on real apparatus from Pierce, Rosenbauer, E-ONE, Waterous/Hale, and other major builders — so gauge placement and muscle memory transfer from the simulator to your rig.
What reports and certifications does it produce?
Every evolution is scored automatically and captured in an After Action Report. Certifications and compliance exports are formatted for state fire commissions, ISO reviews, and NFPA audits, and each certificate carries a unique code with a public verification page.
Can instructors watch trainees in real time?
Yes. Live instructor monitoring lets an instructor follow an operator's panel, gauges, and decisions during an evolution, so coaching and after-action feedback are grounded in exactly what happened.
What does it take to get set up?
Nothing to install. PumpForge is cloud-hosted on hardened AWS infrastructure and runs in any modern browser on any computer or tablet. Instructors create accounts, group personnel by station, and start assigning evolutions the same day.
