From passing attempt to verified certificate
1. Earn
A trainee completes the required scenarios with passing scores. Nothing is hand-entered — the qualifying attempts, their scores, and their timestamps are already in the record, which is what makes the certificate defensible later.
2. Issue
The certification is issued with a unique certificate number and tied to the specific evidence behind it. It appears on the trainee's dashboard and in the department's certification roster the same moment.
3. Verify — publicly
Every certificate has a public verification page. A hiring chief, a state auditor, or a mutual-aid partner can enter the certificate number and confirm it's genuine, current, and issued by your department — without calling anyone or trusting a PDF that could have been edited. This is the difference between a certificate and a claim.
4. Expire & recertify
Certificates carry expiration dates matching your department's recertification policy. Operators approaching their window surface in the recertification queue 60 days out, so training officers schedule refreshers before a lapse — not after an auditor finds one. Completed recertifications chain to the original, preserving the full history.
5. Export
The whole roster exports in formats state fire commissions and ISO reviewers expect — per-operator, per-certification, with issue and expiry dates and the underlying evidence references.
