PumpForge awards pump operator certifications automatically, backed by documented training records. Track expirations, manage recertification queues, and produce audit-ready documentation on demand. Certificates come with the Complete plan.
Verifiable Certificates
Every certificate includes a unique SHA-256 verification code. Anyone can visit the public verification page, enter the certificate number, and confirm the certificate is authentic — without revealing other personal information.
Basic and Advanced Pump Operations
Pass NFA Evolutions 1 to 5 in graded runs with 70% or more and PumpForge issues the Basic Pump Operations certificate. Pass all 12 NFA evolutions and it issues the Advanced one. Each lasts 12 months. It is a PumpForge training record, not a state or NFPA certification.
NFPA 1002 Skills Checklist
A checklist of the standard's eight pumper skills, with the NFPA 1010 number beside each. A skill counts only when an instructor or department admin records watching the trainee do it on a real pumper; passed simulator runs show as practice for the skills they rehearse. Once every skill on the department's checklist is signed off, PumpForge issues a training record PDF that names the evaluators.
Expiration Tracking
Certifications carry an expiration date. The system flags operators approaching expiration at 90 and 30 days out. Instructors see a recertification queue sorted by urgency. Trainees and their instructors are reminded 30 days and 7 days before a certificate expires, and on the day.

Instructors see every operator whose certification has expired or is expiring in one view. An Assign Training button beside each one goes straight to the scenarios to assign.
Printable PDF Certificates
Generate professional certificates with trainee name, department, certification type, issue date, expiration, and verification code. Print-ready formatting for the training file or the wall.
Compliance-Ready Export
Export training records formatted for state fire commissions, ISO audits, and NFPA compliance reviews. Every record is timestamped, scored, and traceable to the individual session.
Complete Audit Trail
The record shows who assigned the scenario, when the trainee attempted it and what score they received. A score an instructor changes keeps the simulator's own score and the instructor's reason, and a certificate revoked or reinstated is logged with who did it.
From passing attempt to verified certificate
1. Earn
A trainee completes the required scenarios with passing scores. Nothing is hand-entered — the qualifying attempts, their scores, and their timestamps are already in the record, which is what makes the certificate defensible later.
2. Issue
PumpForge issues the certification automatically, with a unique certificate number and tied to the specific evidence behind it. It appears on the trainee's dashboard and in the department's certification roster the same moment.
3. Verify — publicly
Every certificate has a public verification page. A hiring chief, a state auditor, or a mutual-aid partner can enter the certificate number and confirm it's genuine, current, and which department it was earned in — without calling anyone or trusting a PDF that could have been edited. This is the difference between a certificate and a claim.
4. Expire & recertify
Certificates carry expiration dates. Operators approaching their window surface in the recertification queue 90 days out, so training officers schedule refreshers before a lapse — not after an auditor finds one. In the last 30 days of a Basic or Advanced Pump Operations certificate, passing the graded runs again renews it, and the new certificate runs on from the old expiry date. Each renewal links to the certificate it replaces, preserving the full history.
5. Export
The whole roster exports in formats state fire commissions and ISO reviewers expect — per-operator, per-certification, with issue and expiry dates.
