Training Hours Log

Instructors log drills, classroom and hands-on hours, with who attended. When your department tracks ISO, finished courses and passed graded simulation runs are added to each member's ISO training hours automatically, in the ISO categories the course or scenario counts toward; failed runs count too if your department switches that on. The units open in order for a trainee, so the basics come before the hydraulics and the hydraulics before the special operations. An instructor can still assign any course at any time.

6 Annual Safety Refreshers

These sit outside the units and open in any order. Each one comes round again 12 months after a member finishes it, and when the department tracks ISO, each year’s completion counts toward its hours again. Every lesson's quiz includes “what do you do?” questions that put the member on a call or at the station.

Practice Scenarios

Any operator can run any scenario, fully scored, as often as they like. Practice never goes on the record or uses an attempt.

Training Plans

Put scenarios in order with due dates counted from the day the plan is assigned. Each step opens when the one before it is done, and the plan shows the NFPA 1002 requirements it covers.

Study Guide

A quick reference every member can open: pump discharge pressure with worked examples, friction loss tables, nozzle flows, elevation, drafting, standpipe and foam figures, emergency procedures and the NFPA 1002 Chapter 5 requirements.

Your State’s Standards

Profiles for all 50 states, each built from that state’s own published documents: its certification path, the NFPA editions it teaches to and, where the state publishes skill sheets, the PumpForge drills that rehearse each one. A department can grade runs to its state’s pass window where the skill sheets set one, or stay on PumpForge’s national lines.
